Coaching Vacancies 2017/18

Applications are invited for the roles of Head Coach and Assistant Coach(es) for the County Men’s U20s for Season 2017/18.

The current coaching group is standing down after 4 years which have seen a Quarter Final, and two appearances in the National U20s Finals at Twickenham, winning the competition outright in 2014. Taking the best local club players with a blend of university students this group has offered players an exceptional taste of representative rugby helping their development and ultimately a number transition into the local club environment.

The squad is normally pencilled in through Autumn with introductory training sessions before Christmas and the campaign proper running through the following Spring.  Training sessions and organisation of the squads would be planned in conjunction with team management Tom Richards and Ray Hedley. Players are drawn from club/university coach recommendations and from the previous season’s U18s squads.

A full job description is attached, this is an unpaid post but some financial help may be given to assist coaches complete their own coaching qualifications. It is expected that coaches will be at, or planning to qualify at level 3 for the senior role in this round of appointments.
