Northumberland President’s Womens XV v Spanish Women’s XV – 6th Dec 2018, Whitley Bay Rockcliff RFC

We’re delighted to announce that Northumberland is to play host to an international training camp for Spain’s Women’s XV in early December.  Currently ranked 9^th in the world, NRU continues to work closely with Spain’s national squad as a result of the Rugby World Cup 2015 legacy programme and have assisted them to improve their game and organisation.  Andy Thomson, NRU Chairman says ‘we’re delighted to be able to continue this close working relationship with Spain and it’s testament to the hard work that has been invested over the last few years that the Spanish Women’s XV have chosen Northumberland as their training camp.’   The team will arrive on Monday, 3^rd December and will receive coaching sessions at Northumbria University, Newcastle Falcons and Novocastrians, culminating in a friendly match against Northumberland President’s Womens XV on Thursday, 6^th December 2018 at Whitley Bay Rockcliff at 7.30pm (£5 entry fee for adults; £3 for students/children; county members f.o.c.). We urge you all to come along and support – afterall it’s not often our County gets the chance to play a national side and we’re sure there’ll be some great rugby on display!
