Northumberland County Women’s Program 2018
Nominations for selection are now open for all senior women for the County rugby program 2018!
The women’s county team have been building over the last three years and are now in a strong position to compete for a spot in the final of this year’s Gill Burn’s Championship. With Both University teams playing in the Northern premiership and Novocastrians standing firm in Championship North, players are exposed weekly to highly competitive and entertaining rugby. Alongside the wealth of experience at Morpeth and the young guns coming through the County U18, with some selected for the North, competition for places in the County team will be high.
All nominations from club coaches must be sent to Claire Sharpe at the County office by no later than 28th February. Please include name, date of birth, playing position and e-mail address so we can get in touch with players direct. (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Please note, for players to be eligible for Northumberland, they must live or be born in Northumberland or play for a Northumberland women’s team.
Training will commence Wednesday 28th March at Percy Park RFC led by head coach Ian Moralee.
This year’s fixtures:
28th April: Cumbria at Alnwick RFC
