Heineken Champions and Challenge Cup Finals at St James’ Park - Volunteer Programme
With 3 months to go until the Heineken Champions and Challenge Cup Finals at St James’ Park we would like to share with you details of our volunteer programme and how members of your club can get involved.
Our volunteer team, known as The Cast, will be based in various positions across the City both before and during the finals weekend.
Volunteers will play a key role in festival. We have a variety of roles available throughout the City and the knowledge and skills of the volunteers will enhance the experience of visitors to Newcastle.
We have opportunities to volunteer on the trophy tour that will be take place throughout the North East from 24th March to 14th April 2019. The trophies will be visiting a variety of rugby clubs, businesses, schools and partners. These volunteers will be helping people to see the trophies before the finals weekend and taking lots of photos
During the finals weekend, The Cast, will be based in various positions across the City from the Rugby Champions Village on the Quayside, Baltic Square Family Zone, and the walking routes through the City up to St James’ Park and in our Strawberry Place fan zone. They will help visitors with wayfinding, details of events and activities and all other information that a visitor may need.
Cast members receive great training to equip them for their role, a fabulous uniform so they stand out and the opportunity to be part of a Great Weekend of Rugby in Newcastle.
Volunteers will be required on a range of shifts over the weekend from 9-11th May 2019 and during the trophy tour from 24th March to 14th April 2019.
Interviews will be held through March and training dates will be available throughout April.
