Re Tours
We have received a number of enquiries relating to the situation with outgoing tours.
The latest position is that the RFU believes responsibility is with individual clubs to follow guidance from them and the Government.
We are currently at Stage D of the Return to Rugby roadmap which means that limited contact training and limited inter club activity is permitted within England. This effectively prevents any tour taking place at this time. A move to Stage E could change this, however consideration should be given to the potential for local lock downs that may prevent a tour from going ahead (this would apply to incoming tours as well).
We would recommend that any planned foreign tours are urgently reviewed in line with latest Government travel and quarantine regulations. Clubs should review their travel insurance to ensure adequate cover is in place. As always, the CB must be advised of an intention to tour and provide written authorisation.
