******IMPORTANT – MEETING POINT HAS CHANGED TOMORROW******

Afternoon All

The meeting point for tomorrow for the DPP Festival has just been changed as there is an event on in the West Stand.

MEETING POINT NOW IS THE EAST STAND.

I will be at the entrance of the East Stand with the registers – players need to sign in and will then be directed onto the pitch via the player tunnel.
Changing rooms are available if anyone needs to use them but players should come changed.
Parents should head upstairs and can mingle in the East Stand.

The Presentations for each group will now be in the 1877 room (just off the Tap and Tackle bar). With regard to the presentation, please only be in the 1877 room for the group that your son / guardian is in – otherwise we wont be able to fit everyone in!

Under 13’s, we must start at 6pm – on the pitch ready to go, so please make sure you arrive a little bit early. Under 14’s again, prompt 7.30pm start on the pitches otherwise we wont get through everything in the time we have.

Sorry for the late change of meeting point – we have literally just been told!

Info for next week ……we have made it to the end of the season !!!!!!!!!!!!!

DPP End of Block Festival, next Friday – 4th May, at Kingston Park.

The Under 13’s will be in from 6pm to 7.30pm and the Under 14’s from 7.30pm to 9pm.

We will be using the main pitch and the North pitch (as it also has lights if we need them for the second session).

We will be based in the WEST Stand concourse (as last time) which is the meeting point and where you will find the registers.

The Festival will be non contact but players should still bring their mouthguards as knocks do happen.    

Players also need to bring their own snacks and refreshments.   The Tap and Tackle in the East Stand will be open if anyone forgets water bottles etc or parents want a coffee.

When we met yesterday Lawrence and I were working out logistics based on numbers (responses received to the FB posts) and as we are not going to be missing too many, the current plan is to have the two pitches split into two so four groups on the go on the pitches at any one time and then one group inside with Lawrence who will be doing a brief presentation / Q&A / what happens next type thing, as with the 14’s I am already being asked about October!!   The presentation will be for parents and players so please do stay as we are keen that you all have the information you need and have answers to any questions you may have, as after the Festival we won’t see you again until the new season.    I will be around for both sessions so if you don’t want to ask anything during the presentation, you are very welcome to speak to me afterwards (13’s) or stop me if I am wandering around between pitches (14’s)!

**IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR EVERYONE**

Due to recent weather and the number of sessions that have had to be (with some still to be) re-arranged, the “End of Block Festival” on Saturday 7th April has now been moved to a new date – FRIDAY 4TH MAY.   The Festival is still at Kingston Park.  Timings now are Under 13’s 6pm to 7.30pm, Under 14’s 7.30pm to 9pm.   Thought you would appreciate the heads up on this one now so you can plan diaries accordingly.   Don’t think anyone is on tour that weekend either so that should make life easier as well!  More to come next week (re arranged dates etc – busy sorting stuff out with lead coaches at the moment).  Have a good weekend. This Friday's sessions at Northern for under 13s and 14s will NOT go ahead for obvious reasons. We will try to find a new date . In the mean time can I ask the lads to do a bit of homework. 1. Learn the Principles of Play. Look at World Rugby website and Newcastle Falcons YouTube channel.
2. think of a top player you think is really good and see if you can work out what principles of play they demonstrate best. Try looking for footage on YouTube. You can discuss this with one of the coaches at the next session.

U13’s – Training at Druid Park 6pm to 7.30pm (with West DPP)

U13’s Festival (all areas together at Kingston Park) – 10am to 12 noon

Can all players complete self reflection forms after each session.  Forms to be mailed to lead coach for your area so that they can be added to your file.  

NB: WHEN EMAILING YOUR COACH YOU MUST ALWAYS COPY IN YOUR PARENT/ GUARDIAN AND YOUR CLUB OR SCHOOL COACH.

18.12.17 The Under 13's DPP Season will begin in the New Year with an Induction Day at Kingston Park on Sunday 28th January.  

Further information will be circulated in due course.   In the meantime, if you have any queries, please contact the County Office.

This is a closed group and to join you will need to answer three security questions.

The Facebook page is prime method of communication as lead coaches can post and update.  Please join the page and get into the habit of checking the page on the day of any sessions as if for instance a session has to be cancelled last minute due to frozen pitches, the update will go on facebook as this is the quickest way to get a message out to you.
