Newcastle University has 2 women’s rugby teams which regularly compete throughout the year in BUCS fixtures with the 1st team in the Northern Premiership and the 2nd team competing in the Northern 2B league. With match days on Wednesdays, training on Monday nights and commitment to 2 fitness and strength and conditioning sessions, the club retains a high morale of team spirit and competitiveness. Our ethos of diversity and inclusion within the club is paramount to the success and development of the teams, allowing us to grow stronger and move forward as an entire unit. Of course, life on and off the pitch is important to gel relationships and promote a trustworthy and honest environment for all, which is why regular social events run throughout the year. NUWRFC runs social media networks to ensure the university and its sponsors, Hodgson Sayers, are kept up to date with training, fixtures and results throughout the season:
