Will Welch's Testimonial Legends Dinner

Join us in celebrating the remarkable career of Will Welch, the youngest person ever to captain a Premiership club at the age of 22, and the longest-serving, leading his team for seven seasons. Will Welch has dedicated 15 years to the Newcastle Falcons, making his debut at just 18 years old against Newport Gwent Dragons and retiring last season at 33 due to a persistent ankle injury. With 275 appearances, he is tied with Tom May and just behind Micky Ward as one of the most capped players in the club’s history.

In honour of his significant contributions, the Falcons have granted Will a testimonial year. One of the highlights will be a Rugby Legends Sportsman’s Dinner hosted at the South Northumberland Cricket Club on Thursday, June 20th, 2024. Tickets can be purchased at www.willwelch.co.uk.
