Friday Night Lights is Back!
Friday 25th September saw Friday Night Lights Vets Rugby return for the new season.
Hosted by Mick Davis and the wider Ashington team, 45 players from five clubs split into two squads, laced up their boots, pulled on a rugby shirt and played a highly enjoyable season opener game of Vets social rugby at Ashington RFC.
Morpeth / Ashington / Novos Vets 31 (5T, 3C)
WB Rockliff / Jarrovians Vets 12 (2T, C)
HT: 19-0 with WBR/Jarrovians making a strong fightback early in 2nd half before Peth/Ash/Novos scored 2 further tries to secure victory.
Thanks to Simon O’Neil (NRU Referees Society) for officiating.
Post match, attendees enjoyed a few beers, a catch up and some food in clubhouse.
New players are always welcome!
