Game On is England Rugby’s initiative for allowing games to be played when there is less than 15 players available for a team. Of course we still want to see full squads turning out on a Saturday afternoon, but sometimes that is not possible for our clubs.
Usually in this instance, games would result in a walk over being awarded. However, this means that players suffer in not having a match or playing in a non-competitive run about which does not benefit anyone.
Game On means that matches can now continue to be played under competitive conditions even if each side does not have 15 players available.
