Congratulations to John Slater who last Saturday received an Outstanding Volunteer of the a Year award from the RFU President.

Below is the Facebook post that Wallsend have posted congratulating John.  We couldn’t have written it any better which is why we printed it word for word!   Congratulations John for a well deserved award.

A huge congratulations to John Slator our Hon Secretary, CSO and U12s Lead Coach, who was nominated by Northumberland RFU to receive the RFU President’s Value the Volunteer Outstanding Contribution Award.
This is the major accolade, of the Honda Volunteer Recognition programme, and recognises the impact that John has had, not only at our club, but also in the wider rugby community.
