Northumberland Club Development Day – Monday 10th November at Whitley Bay Rockcliff RFC.
We have a number of RFU staff available for the drop in session which starts at 2pm:
Dave Stubley is the National Clubs Development Manager and great for advice on things like CASC, Incorporation, VAT, Governance and general club management topics.
Dave Westhead is the North Club and Volunteer Support Manager and will be available all afternoon and into the evening (as he is also running one of the evening Presentations).
Liam Nicholls is the Northumberland Club Developer and again is available all afternoon and into the evening.
We also have Ash Smith available to chat in the afternoon about club coaching and refereeing needs as well as Matt Coglan and Max Pidmore from the RFU North Facilities team so please do pop down to have a chat before the evening sessions.
Appointments to meet with the RFU staff are not necessary – its very much a drop in, grab a coffee and have informal chats, get advice where you need it and generally have a catch up.
From the CB Keith Atkinson, Director of Club Development will be available late afternoon and into the evening.
Pete O’Brien, CB Chair will be available to chat in the evening.
Graham Crozier, CB Hon Secretary is available in the afternoon and into the evening.
Cathryn Clark (CB RugbySafe and Medical Lead) will be available from about 3.30pm to chat about RugbySafe needs at your club as well as helping you with advice in relation to Reg 9 and 1st aid cover for teams at your clubs.

Mark Reade (CB Safeguarding Manger) will be available in the evening for anyone who wishes to chat to him.
Further updates on the availability of other CB Directors and key support personnel will be shared as diaries get confirmed.
There will be food from 5pm and then we move into the evening session where we will have two presentations from RFU staff, topics chosen on the back of discussions at the Ashington General Meeting.
Presentation One – RFU Buying Group (this is a new group and there will be lots of information for you on how this will work as this could lead to a number of savings at your club). This presentation is currently being delivered by Dave Stubley but we are hearing that the lead for this at the RFU may be able to attend on the 10th and talk to you in person.
Presentation Two – Adult Recruitment and Whole Club Workshops which will be delivered by Dave Westhead and Liam.
After the presentations have finished there will be opportunity for general club networking.
