The Introduction to Refereeing course is a three hour course and consists of a mix of face to face and online learning and is a great way to start your refereeing journey, introducing key concepts around safety, equity and enjoyment of refereeing.

Covering all essential aspects of the game, candidates undertake both practical and self-directed theoretical learning to gain the skills and knowledge to begin officiating rugby in the Youth and Adult game, or to upskill prior to taking the next step, the England Rugby Refereeing Award.

As part of this course, you will engage in around 6 hours of learning: 3 hours out on the grass and indoors at our face-to-face session with other like-minded new officials and then plenty of learning from the comfort of your own home in your own time.

On the pitch, you will cover how to officiate the Scrum, the Tackle & Breakdown.

Could you be the next Wayne Barnes or Sara Cox – go on – take the plunge and sign up now!
