As preparations build for the new Premiership Rugby season, Newcastle Falcons will play in an inter-house, True North Origin Fixture on Saturday 12th August.

During preseason the Falcons squad have been divided into four states; Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, Durham, and Cumbria.

Each state is represented by players who were born in or are from that region along with randomly allocated players from non-represented regions to even things out.

Over the course of pre-season the states have faced a series of activities and challenges.

For the True North Origin clash Northumberland and Tyne & Wear will form the North squad and a combination of Cumbria and Durham will make up the South squad.

On the day there will be the opportunity to meet players prior to and post-match and there will be Junior Falcons activities where kids can come along and get involved.

There is no cost to attend the event however you must claim a ticket via Event Information Screen – eTickets (eticketing.co.uk)

don’t miss out on the Coach the Coaches’ session which will be delivered by Newcastle Falcons Head Coach, Alex Codling and his team of coaches. They will be discussing how to create a culture within a club and what they have put in place during pre-season.
