County programmes are a relatively short programme of activity and to ensure the players and coaching team have the opportunity to coach and assess players properly we rely heavily on you as coaches to only nominate players who meet the nomination criteria. We are asking coaches and teachers to only nominate their best players (top 5% to 10%) who they believe have the game sense, attitude, skill set and physical attributes required to play at county level.

The players should stand out as better than their peers and be committed to engaging fully with the County programme.

We would hope that we receive a maximum of 45 nominations from across the teams / schools within Northumberland - any more and it becomes difficult to administer and coach. If we do get more than this number then the coaching team will have to look to cut numbers early in the programme - so again I'd like to re-iterate we are only looking for the best.
